At MedLab Direct, our journey is rooted in decades of friendship, trust, and an unwavering commitment to service. Founders Craig Charles and Randy Neal forged their partnership in the military, where they developed the discipline, strategic execution, and dedication to a higher purpose that guides everything we do for our clients.

After leaving the military, they both spent years in the medical industry. Craig, an experienced entrepreneur and medical equipment sales expert, had worked with some of the most cutting-edge diagnostic tools but noticed a common pattern: many physicians didn’t know how to integrate these technologies into their practices in a way that benefited both their patients and their bottom line. 

Meanwhile, Randy, a seasoned pharmaceutical and corporate executive, had spent years building relationships with doctors, understanding their challenges, and witnessing firsthand how many were barely breaking even.

One morning over coffee, they realized just how many physicians they knew were struggling to balance patient care with the financial pressures of running a practice. With new regulations tightening reimbursements and diagnostic technology constantly evolving, most physicians weren’t aware of the opportunity to set up their own Physician Owned Laboratory (POL). Many assumed it was too complicated or expensive. 

Time and again, they spoke with doctors who were referring hundreds of tests a month to large national labs, never realizing they could keep that revenue in-house while improving turnaround times for their patients.

Determined to find a better way, Craig and Randy set out to empower clinics with greater independence, enhanced patient care, and stronger financial futures.

Our step-by-step approach removes the complexity of setting up a fully functional lab, allowing physicians to experience a seamless and transformative shift towards a sustainable, high-margin revenue stream.
